Alexandra Malone

Speech/Language Therapist and Consultant
Alexandra Malone is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech/language pathologist with New Jersey licensure.
Since 2014, Alexandra has had experience working with individuals with various communication and swallowing disorders; as a school therapist to preschool children on the autism spectrum, as a tele-therapist serving elementary, middle and multiply handicapped homebound students and as an evaluator performing assessments across New York City. Alexandra has experience working in a Level 1 trauma center with adults recovering from strokes and brain injuries. Additionally, she is trained in a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed pediatric feeding approach.
Alexandra enjoys working with clients, families, healthcare workers and educators, sharing strategies and techniques to best help others build communication skills. She currently works in a pediatric outpatient setting in Wall and Shrewsbury, NJ.
ABOUT ALEXANDRA
Alexandra believes in helping others effectively communicate. Research shows that parents (caretakers) are the most consistent models in their children’s lives and have the ability to help significantly with speech/language development and pediatric feeding.
PHILOSOPHY
Alexandra will work with you to provide strategies and at-home activities to develop your child’s speech/language skills, or as a support to help guide you through any communication questions or concerns you may have. Alexandra helps healthcare workers identify speech/language concerns and skills in young patients. Alexandra specializes in working with toddler and preschool language development and provides advice and home practice for caregivers to children of all ages. She is trained in AEIOU, an evidence-based, integrated pediatric feeding approach that focuses on acceptance, exposure, independence, observation and understanding through family relationships, authentic connections and child autonomy.
